Here they all are, beavering away at the "Old-timers’ harvest" in Hampshire. Looks like a good do to me, but who’s that on the left, wearing a halo? (Just one of the eight illustrations on the two pages of this item) |
In the Workshop (pages 10,11) Members in Scotland again made the most of dark winter evenings with another series of hands-on workshop training sessions, organized by FoFH’s West Scotland coordinator Jim Nesbitt. Two illustrated pages describe in some detail the work carried out in removing the bonnet, fuel tank, and cylinder head of a 1955 TEF20. If you’re going to do this to your tractor, you should read this article first. Typical of the canny Scots to come up with something as useful as this.. |

Look at this, they’ve found a way of tying three tractors together, so they only have to put fuel in one of them... | ![]() |
Capturing some of the fun we had that day Page 12 has a seven picture report by Hugh Black showing the FoFH working day at Easter Anguston Farm. |
How much do you think my Fergie is worth? (page 14) Graham Holland, of Holland-Brand, has heard this question hundreds of times, and debags some of the myths and nonsense. What does he say? It's in the magazine: see the membership page, and get your own copy. |

Well done Yorkshire! Pages 16 and 17. Jean Varey was part of the FoFH team at the Tractor and Machinery National Tractor Show in November, and reports that it proved to be a remarkable weekend for all tractor enthusiasts. |
The amazing Harry Ferguson- part 3
Pages 18 to 20 have part three of what was labelled the most spectacular lawsuit of the 20th century. Based on a four part article which appeared in the Sunday Express in 1965, it is reproduced courtesy of Express Newspapers.
Technical tip
Half of page 20 investigates the reason why a TEA20 wouldn't start, when all the usual checks proved OK. Bet you can't guess what it turned out to be...

A Studied Collection Our club administrator, George McGhee, took time off from manning the FoFH Help-Desk to visit Suffolk enthusiast James Durrant and report on his varied and growing line of Ferguson kit |
Get there early (pages 25 to 28) Jim Bradley writes an informative, well illustrated, and entertaining report on the August 2003 FoFH Scottish Region Working Day Rally in Collin, Dumfries. If you read this, you won't want to miss the next one, on 22nd August 2004. |

Down in the forest a Treever stirred (pages 34 and 35) Stephen Watts has managed to acquire the only machine of its kind left in the UK, a MF Forestry Treever (tree retriever). As the magazine editor points out, a Treever working in Western Australia was described by John Burge in issue 22. Quite a machine. |

On pages 36 and 37, Norman Tietz tells about a superb ploughing day in Ohrensen, near Hamburg, Germany. This part of Germany has been strong Ferguson and MF territory since the early fifties, so the day was well supported, and finished a few beers and much discussion about ploughing techniques. Sounds like a good day to me..
Pages 42 and 43 has a selection of photographs taken by David White at various events during recent years. That's a good collection, David.
When a group of Ferguson and MF enthusiasts from Northern Ireland visited FoFH’s Scottish Region Working Day Rally, it was quickly decided that something of the same nature was needed on their side of the Irish Sea. Sam Neill describes how, in true Ferguson manner, they organized an enjoyable event in only two weeks! Nice pictures, but you can't see them here, you’ve seen enough already.
Then there’s Junior Ferguson, interesting letters in the Post Bag, Club News, the book review, etc., etc...
They're just the bits I’ve picked out with which to titillate you: there's plenty more in the magazine.
Three issues a year, all free if you're a member... Take a look at the membership page.
